Learn to create and write complete process documentation and identify areas of improvement.
Payroll has always been complicated due to compliance issues, and with the addition of technology, payroll processes have become more involved. This has put payroll professionals in a position to get stuck in the 'get the payroll out' each week rut. This topic will help you create and write complete process documentation that would allow any associate in your department to do all processes if necessary. During this course, we will also review ways to identify process improvement while documenting your processes.
Payroll is no exception to the influence of technology. Payroll departments everywhere are being tasked to do more payroll tasks with fewer resources and by leveraging the power of technology. Today, the day-to-day payroll tasks are getting taken care of with greater ease. Better documented processes are required and expected from payroll professionals so new employees can be trained or backup employees can have the tools to keep processes going when subject matter experts are out of the office. A well-documented process is instrumental in the continued improvement of processes.
This webinar will provide you with the tools to create an effectively functional document process and as well as help to evaluate whether the documentation can be used for process improvements in the future as well. This webinar will give you access to a basic template for writing procedures. It will also help you learn what tools to use to determine proper documentation. It will teach you how to collect metrics and benchmark your documented processes. This session will show you why process documentation is the first step in process improvement.
Payroll mistakes can happen faster than you think. For a moment, think about the employees for whom monthly salary is the only source of income. Imagine what if the salary is not paid accurately or there is a delay in releasing the salary. Such irregularities can take a toll on the morale of the employees and ultimately affect the business productivity.
While ensuring accurate and timely payment of salary is important, adhering to the various laws and regulations such as labor law, PF, PT, and other statutory compliance is also critical. Non-adherence to these laws can attract serious legal and financial consequences. To make sure that your employees are happy and you are law-compliant, you need to have a proper understanding of what payroll is and how to run payroll effectively.
